[gallery columns="2"]Now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is LOVE.

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, and have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, But I have not love, I gain nothing.

LOVE is patient, LOVE is kind, LOVE does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. LOVE NEVER FAILS. (1 corinthians 13: 1-3)

We are home and the realization of all that God has allowed, provided, protected and encouraged us through is truly beyond words. God’s love for us has been evident and magnificent and I have experienced His LOVE and answers to years of prayers through this year’s interns, our kenyan friends and so many of you. Thank you for LOVING...

I am not usually a woman of “few words” and yet I find myself increasingly unable to communicate with words the wonder and peace I feel right now. Journey 2010 is the fruit of many, many prayers and the fulfillment of a vision that Nathanael and I have been carrying since before we married. When I look at the amazing “journeyers” and see my children by their sides it is almost all I can do not to cry. These interns and our staff are AMAZING and what is most amazing about them is the LOVE they have for God, for each other, for others and for the world around them. They are the true culmination of LOVE. To walk alongside of them day after day and witness God’s Love in and through them, especially when you are a recipient of that love, inspires and challenges me to LOVE more. This is the true picture of Journey 2010 and I can tell you that I too will not leave this summer unchanged.

My prayer to Journey 2010 parents: May you know that your grown children are not where they are without you. May you be encouraged that you have all raised AMAZING men and women. These guys are changers and they are going to change the world with their LOVE.

We are leaving for debrief today and will begin to break down everything God has done in us and through us. We are excited about this because we have the opportunity to write out our thoughts, process through photos and continue to allow God to move. This is the place where dreams and visions come alive, are refined, and solidified. This team will not leave this place without action, please continue to pray with us because Journey 2010 is far from over!
