If I had a picture...

Wow, I can't believe that it's already been 6 days together as a team. I wish I had a picture to share with you right now because I truly believe that it would capture where we've been and how God is growing this team! After a few days in Alpharetta we packed up and headed out to Camp Highland on Monday. Journey brings a great mix of experienced and ... "less-experienced" campers. While Camp Highland offers some amazing facilities, we have spent the last 3 days out in the woods on the top of a hill that overlooks the lake. I'm so excited about the way this team jumped into their experience by finding and cooking their food over the fire, sleeping outside (men), hiking, cannoing, and exploring. I can't believe how blessed we are to have so much time together with some of the most passionate and authentic people I've met in a long time!

Today was transition day... we pack up camp and move in to the cabins for the first shower since Monday and a little more comfortable sleeping situation. Here's what I love about these guys. We ate dinner with the Camp Highland crew and then met them out on the fields for our 2nd annual Invest vs. Camp Highland ultimate frisbee game. Last year our team took one of the worst beatings I've witnessed. It was a rough one but necessary for where we were. This year... we lost big in terms of numbers but won big in terms of letting God work! We spent some time talking about our day and they blew me away. These guys were able to take an ultimate frisbee game and reflect on God's pure and unconditional love for us. Amazing...

We are ending our night here in worship on so many levels and we're grateful for your prayers, encouragement, and support. Everyone is safe and well and I ask that you continuing praying that He would continue to grab a hold of the hearts of these next generation leaders as we experience freedom together out here at camp.

Humbled,

Journey 2010
