Laying the Foundation

We are currently in Phase 1 of Kimbilio Project. We launched an initiative known as “Kimbilio Foundation Layers” in June. This initiative is for people to join the movement in providing a refuge for orphaned and abandoned children in East Africa. If one joins the Foundation Layers they raise $1,000 by reaching out to their social networks. We provide them with a letter, email, Facebook and Twitter post, and personal fundraising website. Its as easy as asking 20 people to donate $50. With $100,000 we can purchase about ten acres of land and physically lay the foundation for the building! Every person who joins the initiative to raise $1,000 and every person who makes a donation to this phase will have their name written in the foundation of the building. They will also receive updates throughout the process of buying land, breaking ground, laying the foundation, and then a picture of their name in the foundation! I originally started this by reaching out to many Clemson University students, alumni, and faculty to be the first people to launch this initiative. There are currently about 20 people that have started the process of raising $1,000, and that number continues to grow. Keep checking back here throughout this week to see how others are joining this initiative and how you can join yourself!
